The main thing is to leave the beige color dominant so as not to lose the nobility that, being the main one, it brings into the room. So, where to start, what shade of beige to choose, with what to combine and how to achieve a harmonious mix of colors?

First you need to determine the shade of this noble color, which will prevail in the room, and there is something to think about. The gamma is so great that sometimes it can be difficult to determine. The beige color can be grayish, greenish, brownish, mauve, wheat or caramel yellow, with hints of peach or milk chocolate. Perhaps, it follows from what color will be used as a companion, the color of which can be both soft and muted, and brightly saturated.

And sometimes it seems that you can’t do without design help, however, if you carefully think through everything, before proceeding with the repair work, it is quite possible to cope with the task yourself. And to make it easier, here are a few practical tips regarding the arrangement of the kitchen and the harmonious distribution of colors and shades in it:

Take, for example, a rustic country style using textile with a floral pattern that combines denim blue with a neutral grayish-beige hue and white. Having a big picture, it’s hard to say what sets the tone, and what just is the line between seemingly so different colors. But the result is truly impressive.

A putty and white painted ceiling with spotlights along the work area is a very popular design move for the kitchen that will fit into any interior. The work wall, lined with fine tiles and the kitchen, including the frame of chairs and tables, are white, as if complementing each other decor elements. The worktops and dining areas in dark chocolate color will very originally dilute the enveloping space, creating contrasting elements in it. The floor and countertop of the so-called island, or in other words a movable table with drawers and shelves for small items, are made in the color of a beech wood, are ideally combined with each other and bring notes of sunlight into the cold atmosphere of the room. Walls painted or pasted over with textured wallpaper in a neutral, but at the same time saturated beige color are in perfect harmony with the curtains on the windows and the upholstery of the external back of the chairs. The lamps above the working surface of the island and above the dining table are completely different in shape, but they look quite harmonious due to the color scheme. In the same denim blue color, the seats of the chairs are also made. All these little things and the use of colors are so intertwined that each individual element seems to be an integral part of the interior. And just such harmony must be achieved when creating a kitchen design. It should also be noted that decorative elements are important in any design. In this case, it is snow-white flowerpots and lamps that fit perfectly into the overall picture, perfectly completing the entire ensemble of kitchen furniture.

If such pronounced contrasts are not quite to your liking and you want to make the kitchen more calm and restrained, then yellow-beige shades will be an ideal option. Moreover, you can use all the shades of this category at the same time, starting with wheat-yellow and ending with a yellowish-gray tone.

For example, it can be a light floor for parquet, walls painted in a dark beige tone, the color of which is chosen for a countertop made of natural stone with gray and wheat-yellow stains. A light beige kitchen set with aluminum handles and appliances in metallic color will harmoniously fit into such an atmosphere.

A wonderful solution may be the design of the kitchen with bright contrasts. A combination of cold gray-beige with white and bright orange colors will look interesting. It is not necessary to select furniture in one color scheme. In a large room, you can delimit the kitchen space by making a working area under a thuja tree with a white countertop, and along the second wall you can install a cabinet with a white glossy surface.

At the same time, the floor covering and the finish of the working wall can be decorated in the color of the working area, and the ceiling can be painted white and spotlights are placed on it. Snow-white cast chairs on thin chrome legs harmoniously fit into such a design, and the island with orange walls and the facades of the drawers covered with a white tabletop will become a contrasting highlight. In order that it does not look superfluous, its presence must be supported by several color-appropriate decor elements in the decoration of the wall of the working area or simple accessories.
