How to get from Vaclav Havel Airport to the center of Prague
All tourists arriving in the Czech capital are met by the Vaclav Havel Airport. Accordingly, the first question travelers are interested in is how to get to the city from Prague airport. In general, the public transport network in Prague is understandable, it’s even easier to understand it and get to the city center than ordering a transfer. - timetable towards the center - from 5-30 to 21-00, towards the airport - 06-30 - 22-00;
- tickets for city buses in the shuttle are not valid; travel tickets are needed; they are bought at vending machines, railway ticket offices and directly from the driver;
- price - full ticket 60 CZK, children (up to 14 years old) 30 CZK.
Since there are no stops on the route, you can get to your destination - the center of the Czech capital in half an hour. Tickets are more convenient to purchase from the driver, as the machine only accepts coins, and they are not always in the wallet.
How to get to Prague from Vaclav Havel Airport at nightDaytime public transport runs around the city until around midnight. But how to get from the Prague airport to the center of the Czech capital if the flight arrives in the capital late at night?
From the terminal No. 1 from midnight to 03-55 the night bus No. 510 runs. If you need to get to the central areas, follow Divoká Šárka and change to tram No. 51, as the metro in Prague runs until 23-00.

CEDAZMinibuses depart from exit F of terminal No. 1, exit E of terminal No. 2, the stop is V Celnici Street, here is the Náměstí Republiky metro station, yellow line B. The minibus has a capacity of 20 people. The flight interval is half an hour, the first leaves at 7-30, and the last at 19-00. The fare will cost 150 CZK; for passengers under the age of 6 years, a ticket can not be purchased. Tickets are sold at the terminal building.
You can get to the center of Prague quickly and comfortably by taxi. Transfer will cost from 500 to 600 kroons - landing 40 kroons, cost per kilometer 28 kroons. The road will take from 20 minutes to half an hour.
Basic rules for ordering a taxi:
- choose only an official taxi - yellow cars with a traditional sign on the roof;
- maximum capacity - 4 passengers and three luggage places;
- most drivers are fluent in English;
- tips in Prague taxi drivers are considered optional;
- You can pay by card.
